Support Package for all customers affected by the Earthquake
ANZ has made a $1,000,000,000 commitment to Christchurch with a kick-start fund to
provide lending to home owners living in the Government's designated residential
red zone. Find out more.
If you are a customer of The National Bank and your home or income has been severely
impacted by the Christchurch earthquakes, talk to us about how we can help. You
may be eligible for the following support:
- provide customers with the option of suspending repayments on all loans, including
personal loans, for up to three months (with interest capitalised)
- waive fees associated with restructuring finances considered necessary due to earthquake
impacts
- waive early withdrawal costs for term deposits
- consider temporary adjustments to customer lending limits including credit cards
to assist them to cope financially with unexpected costs arising from the earthquake
- provide working capital support to business banking, commercial and
rural customers if requested
- operate a priority approval process to allow rapid decisions
Application of the above measures will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and applies to existing facilities.
