Requirements

To apply for access to National Bank DirectDeal you will need:

• A requirement for significant ongoing foreign currency risk management.
• To be domiciled in New Zealand, or provide the Bank with sufficient confirmation that the operation of DirectDeal does not contravene any laws in the domiciled jurisdiction of operation.
• A foreign currency credit relationship with the Bank.
• To execute foreign exchange transactions with The National Bank as principal and not as agent or trustee (unless the Bank has approved of the agency or trusteeship relationship in writing).
• To be able to amend your existing mandate with the Bank.
• An Internet browser that is capable of 128-bit encryption and supports the use of session cookies (we recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0.

If you are an existing National Bank Markets client, please contact your usual Markets Dealer.

If you have other National Bank accounts please:

• Contact your Relationship Manager or Rural Manager directly.  They will assess whether you are eligible for the DirectDeal service.
