School Years
Getting the things you need and want, when you want them, means learning
to handle your own money and saving. You also need the right bank
account.
You'll find everything right here. We have the information you need to
get started. We also have School
Plus, a special account to meet your needs through your school
years. It has no account maintenance or transaction fees and you earn
interest on every dollar.
If you haven't had a bank account before, read on. If you come across
words you haven't heard before,
understanding bank language
will help.
If you're familiar with banking you can go straight to
School Plus.

Why you need a bank account
It's easy to spend your money on little things like drinks, snacks and
magazines. But then there's nothing left for more expensive things you
might want.
That's where having a bank account helps.
You can deposit your
money into your bank account and we will pay you money in the form of
interest
so your savings grow a little faster. The more money you have in the
account, the higher the interest rate and the more money you will earn.
You can then let the
balance grow until you
have enough for the items that you really want. When you need the money,
you can make
withdrawals
at a branch,
or maybe by EFTPOS or through ATMs.
It doesn't cost you anything to save with School Plus. The bank fees
normally charged for monthly account maintenance and transactions are
waived.
