Automated transactions include EFTPOS, Mobile Phone Banking, ATM withdrawals or transfers, automatic payments, bill payments, direct debits, direct credits and also include transactions made through Touchtone Phone Banking and Online Banking.
Manual transactions include cheques, ATM deposits and transactions handled by our staff in branch or over the phone. (Please note that balances and basic account enquiries in branch are free).

A low transaction account
You get all the usual advantages National Bank everyday account,
including 24 hour, 365 day access to your money.
Cashpoint ATMs
You get 24 hour, 365 day access to cash from Cashpoint ATMs throughout the country as well as
overseas with a National Bank Cashpoint Card. You can deposit cash or cheques at Cashpoint ATMs
and transfer money between your National Bank accounts. You can also withdraw money from other banks' ATMs.
EFTPOS
You can pay for clothes, petrol, groceries or eating out using EFTPOS with a Cashpoint Card.
Over 50,000 outlets throughout New Zealand accept EFTPOS. It's also a convenient way to obtain cash.
Touchtone Phone Banking
You can pay bills, transfer funds and get account balances when it suits you, simply by picking up any touchtone
phone in New Zealand overseas. Find out more at our

Online Banking
You can create or delete bill payees and pay bills, transfer funds, amend or delete a list of
automatic payments, see a summary of transactions and get account balances when it suits you.

Automatic payments or direct debits
If there's something you need to pay on a regular basis, such as your rent or Visa bill,
you can set up an automatic payment or direct debit. The payment will then be made automatically from your account.
Manual banking options
You can have transactions handled by our staff at your nearest
branch or by phone.
And of course, you can make cheque payments from your account.
An overdraft for cashflow convenience
For the flexibility to cover unexpected expenses, special purchases or cash shortages
between pay-days you can apply for an overdraft.
