How do I switch to a National Bank Credit Card?
If you like using the Internet for your banking, you can
apply online for a National Bank Credit Card. Fill out the form and indicate
in the 'comments' box that you would like to switch your current credit card to
us. We'll then call to talk you through the options available. Alternatively you
can call us on 0800 741 741 or visit your nearest National Bank
branch.

What information do I need to provide?
We may require some documentation to complete your card application, including:
- Proof of income (e.g. payslip, letter of employment on company letterhead, or a
tax certificate).
- One form of photo identification (e.g. driver’s licence, passport, photo credit
card) or two forms of non-photo identification (e.g. full New Zealand birth certificate,
certificate of New Zealand citizenship, credit card, debit card, immigration papers).
Please supply original copies of these documents when applying in a branch or certified
copies when applying by mail. When applying online, we will contact you to let you
know what we need.
Special introductory balance transfer rate
You can choose to transfer your debit balance from another bank’s credit card to
