How do I register my phone?
You can register for TXT Banking:
- if you are registered for Online Banking, log in and go to "Other services",
- by calling 0800 22 82 82 or visiting a National Bank
branch.
After registering, you will receive an activation code that you simply text to 228.
We’ll text you back to confirm your registration.

Will my phone work?
If your phone is able to send and receive text messages, you’ll be able to use the
TXT Banking service.

Can I register more than one mobile?
No, only one mobile number can be registered for each customer.

Can I register my trust or my business as well as my personal accounts?
At this stage, Mobile Phone Banking is only available to personal customers.

How secure is the service?
With TXT Banking your mobile number is authenticated each time you send a text request.

Do I need a password for TXT Banking?
No as there is no financial transactions you can do – only balance and mini-statement
enquiries.

Yes. As long as your phone can send/receive text messages, your phone can be used.
