The National Bank

Mobile Security

Only registered users can access the National Bank Mobile Phone Banking services. Before you can use the mobile services, you must register with the Bank and agree to be bound by the Mobile Phone Banking Conditions of Use (Terms and Conditions).

As with any normal banking transaction, the Bank will treat your information and transactions as strictly confidential.

TXT Banking

TXT Banking does not require a password as information is not sent in an environment that may compromise a registered users security. Each text message sent to National Bank is checked against the registered mobile phone number and authenticated before the reply text is sent. National Bank also encourages the user to delete all sent and received messages from their phone.

M-Banking and iBank

Once you logon to either M-Banking or iBank, your session will be secured using a 128-bit encrypted connection between yourself and National Bank. All transactions using M-Banking and/or iBank are transmitted in this encrypted environment, ensuring that the information is protected by a high level of security.

Any information you transmit to companies in the ANZ National Bank Group (“Group”) may be used by the Group to advise you of the Group’s products and services and those of selected third parties. You have the right to access and correct personal information held by the Group that relates to you.
