Manage your accounts
Manage your everyday and savings accounts, term deposits, credit cards, loans, managed
funds and KiwiSaver account. You can also view the details of your loan and term
deposit accounts.
View your transactions
You can view and download transactions from your everyday, savings and loans accounts.
Everyday and Savings accounts have transactions available for the last 24 months.
Loans Accounts have transactions available from 1st of May 2001.
Statement Options
You can choose to stop receiving paper statements on some accounts, and re-start
them at any time.
Online Statements are not available for all accounts displayed through internet
banking.
Transfer funds
Transfer funds between your National Bank accounts, including your National Bank credit card.
Pay your bills
Use Bill Payment to pay your bills to over 1000 pre-registered businesses in New Zealand. You can create up to 20 bill payments at a time and set the payment to go out up to 90 days in advance.
Send money to friends and family
Make one-off payments to any other bank account in New Zealand. Or save your family
and friends as a self selected bill payment so you don’t need to remember their
account numbers.
Pay your Tax
Make tax payments to the Inland Revenue Department. Set your payment date up to
90 days in advance.
Make additional loan payments
Request to make additional payments to your floating interest rate loan accounts.
Top-up your home loan
Apply to top-up your existing home loan.
Manage your automatic payments
Create, amend, or delete your automatic payments online. You can change details
such as the amount, frequency, next payment date and your statement details.
Security
Use OnlineCode for additional security while banking online. OnlineCode sends a
TXT message with a special code to your mobile phone as two-factor authentication.
Bank Mail
Use Bank Mail, our secure email system inside Online Banking to contact us or ask
questions about your accounts.
What you need
Online Banking is available for customers with at least one current account, savings
account, credit card, term deposit account or loan account. You need to have single
or ‘several’ signing authority on your accounts to have full online access.
Software settings
Online Banking is an internet based service and doesn’t need you to download any
special software. However, we recommend that you have the up-to-date security software
and internet browsers to meet Online Banking’s minimum software requirements.
Our Online Banking works best when it’s used with the following internet browsers:

All browsers require javascript and cookies enabled and a minimum 128-bit data encryption.

Payment Processing
Online Banking payments are processed from 10pm each business night. Payments made
before 10pm on a business days are processed that day; those made after 10pm are
processed the following business day.
There are no monthly fees or any fees to create, amend or delete any payments using
Online Banking. Normal transaction fees apply to pay as you go accounts such as
National Bank Classic.
To register for National Bank Online Banking:
- Simply go to the registration
page. You will be led through the registration process, step by step
- Visit your nearest branch.
