You’re able to view or export transaction history back to 01 June 2009 for your Everyday and Savings accounts. You can also view or download up to six National Bank credit card statements online. This will allow you to add your transaction history to accounting software.

Follow our simple step-by-step guide to learn how to download your account transaction history or  print this guide and read it later.

Step 1 Getting started

When you log in to Online Banking you’ll arrive at a page showing your account balances. From the options at the top of the page click on the My Accounts & Transactions menu.

Step 2 Select the account you want to look at

Select the account you want to download transaction history for. Your transaction history will display once you’ve selected your account.

Step 3 Select the Export feature

Now you’ll see the transaction summary for the account you selected on the previous screen.

You can change your account by selecting a new account.

At the top of the screen it describes your account details such as account number, account type or account nickname, available funds and account balance.

You have the ability to download the transaction summary in several formats, such as an Excel document (CSV) format. Select Export to continue.

Step 4 Enter transaction download details

Select the date range you require.

You have the ability to download the transaction summary in several formats, such as an Excel document (CSV) format. Select the format you would like from the drop down menu.

Step 5 Confirm transaction summary download

A dialogue window will appear asking if you would like to download the file. You have the option to open, save or cancel downloading the file. If you click the open button the file format will open in a new window.

You'll need to use the CSV (Comma Separated Variables) format to download your transactions into Excel.

OFX
Open Financial eXchange format can be used by Microsoft Money, GnuCash and most other finance management software.
QIF
Quicken Interchange Format can be used with Intuit Quicken (pre-2006 versions).
CSV
Comma Separated Variables can be used by Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet packages.
TSV
Tab Separated Variables can be used by Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet packages.
