The Bank is always open if you're registered for our touchtone service. You can call from a touchtone phone from anywhere in New Zealand or overseas to:

  • check account balances
  • pay bills
  • transfer funds between accounts
  • get information on past transactions
  • order statements, cheque books and deposit books, and change automatic payments.

You can call from your home or office, or even a phone box or mobile phone while you're travelling. You can also call from overseas.

Features that make phone banking fast and simple

Set up an Automatic Balance to hear the balance of a nominated account automatically as soon as you login to Touchtone Phone Banking, without needing to press any more keys. To turn on automatic balance :

  • Login to Touchtone Phone Banking and at the main menu press 5 (Other Services)
  • Then press 4 (Set up options)
  • Then press 2 (Automatic balance)
  • Select your nominated account at the prompt

The following shortcut keys help make using Touchtone Phone Banking easy

  • Press 0 at any time to speak to a person
  • Press 7 at any time to return to the previous menu
  • Press 8 at any time to return to the main menu

For a demonstration

For a free trial, use the demonstration numbers - no actual transactions will take place. (If you have to log off, print this page so you'll have these numbers handy).

  • Enter demonstration customer number 70108009 and press #
  • Enter the five digit demonstration PIN 13579 and press #

What you need

You need your customer number which is printed on your Cashpoint card, and a 5-digit personal identification number (PIN). You select this PIN when you first call to register for touchtone phone banking.

You will have to meet the cost of the international call. Overseas calls must be from a touchtone phone.
